1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website and downloading the RECURIOUS mobile application (including the web PWA), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using all RECURIOUS services.

2. Age Eligibility

RECURIOUS contains content designed for mature couples communication, including intimate cards and themes. You must be at least **18 years of age** to access or use the application. By creating an account or playing, you warrant that you are of legal age.

3. Scope of Service & Clinical Disclaimer

RECURIOUS is an intimacy facilitator and conversational card game designed for entertainment, communication support, and couples play.

Not Therapy: RECURIOUS is not clinical therapy, relationship counseling, or professional medical advice. While our decks incorporate methodologies from relationship sciences (such as Gottman and Perel), usage of the app does not establish a therapist-client relationship. If you are experiencing severe relational distress, please consult a licensed professional counselor.

4. Subscriptions, Payments & Entitlements

Some categories (such as our high-intensity Heat deck) require a premium subscription (RECURIOUS+):

  • Billing Providers: Subscriptions are managed and billed through the Google Play Store, iOS App Store, or Stripe. Payment policies of the respective provider apply.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time within your device's subscription settings. No refunds are issued for partial billing cycles.

5. Zero-Knowledge Accountability & User Conduct

Because our database uses zero-knowledge encryption, you are solely responsible for keeping your local decryption passwords and pairing invite links safe. We cannot recover lost passphrases or data.

You agree to engage with the app responsibly and maintain physical consent boundaries at all times. We disclaim all liability for emotional or physical events occurring during or after play sessions.
